Seems to me that you are trading one law for another. Romans 14 beginning verses starts with "Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations." (KJV) - The writer goes on to say that whether it is eating or not eating meats, celebrating or not celebrating a specific day is not what God cares about. I'd add getting dunked or sprinkled or not getting dunked or sprinkled to this list. - Verse 17 says, "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." One thing you did not say in this posting is what happens to those who do get baptized or who have been. Does God reject them? I think not. I praise God that he wants my heartfelt praise and worship (which benefits me by the way) as opposed to just following rules and regulations. Our Reply, We thank God for believers everywhere and their heartfelt joy and rejoicing in our Saviour Christ Jesus and what He accomplished for us all. We believe most Christians become water baptized as a show of faith in that they are taught that this is the right thing to do. What a person does in ignorance of Truth for today is not held against that believer for God see's the heart and true intent. We should however study to stand approved before Him (2 Timothy 2:15) and when we learn of what Baptism is for believers today help others to believe and stand in that Unity; Ephesians 4:3-6 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Jesus was baptized. And gave to Nicademus the salvation---"you must be baptized BOTH water and in spirit". Dear Ron, Jesus Christ was baptized to fulfill the law (Matt. 3:15) but now we have but one baptism (Eph. 4:5). Nicodemus was never told to be baptized in water by The Lord but that he must be born of water and Spirit (John 3:5) and to read into that water baptism is improper handling of The Scripture. All God's Blessings, The Believers
